Amman, on 30 November 2009, Al Atheen has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for the Study of Architecture in the Arab Region (CSAAR) to reinforce their cooperation on events related to Built Environment issues where and by all means possible. This agreement aims to strengthen the collaborative efforts between Al Atheen and CSAAR to promote research and sharing information about architecture and the architectural profession in the region. The agreement is centered around two main ambitions:
* to explore opportunities for joint events and/or actions
* to share information of mutual interest.

Al Atheen has announced plans to launch a new monthly magazine called Al Memari (the Architect in Arabic), a vibrant magazine focuses on architecture in the Arab world and abroad.
Al Memari's focus will be on delivering information pertaining to practicing architects to inspire their designs, enhance their practice, expand their business and connect with their peers in the region and abroad.
Mohmad Asfour, Al Memari’s managing director, said: “With only one other title in the market of the MENA region, our research showed there was a real need for a new magazine.” "We're excited about Al Memari launch. We've assembled a great team to represent this new magazine," says Asfour. "This magazine will serve the explosive growth in non-residential architecture and mega-scale projects in the region."
The first issue of Al Memari will be launched in July 2010. The magazine will publish every two months in the first year and monthly after that.
"This magazine is the first of many new publications Al Atheen will launch and acquire to serve the various professional sectors in the Arab world." Al Atheen is working on the launch of another professional magazine dedicated to the health sector late in 2010.
